Michael Robicheaux

President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Robicheaux is the president and chief executive officer for Fortress Downhole Tools. Having founded the company in 2017, Robicheaux is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Fortress--including safety program and culture, mergers and acquisition, and strategic guidance. He has more than 39 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. With extensive experience in operations, management, sales and marketing, and finance, Robicheaux has both managed and owned companies on a worldwide platform. Prior to founding Fortress, he was the president, CEO and owner of Monosep Corporation as well as Stabiltec Downhole Tools. Robicheaux also worked as president of Four Season Environmental.

Robicheaux has been an active member of the South Louisiana community, serving on the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Acadiana, Stric-Lan Companies, and Pelican Energy Partners. He is also a founder of Angels in Education, a scholarship fund assisting families with the cost of tuition in the Catholic School System. Robicheaux holds a degree in petroleum technology from University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Craig Falgout

Executive Vice President

Craig Falgout has been with Fortress Downhole Tools since inception. As owner and executive vice president, Falgout is involved in all aspects of Fortress and is primarily responsible for sales and client relations. He brings more than 37 years of oil and gas expertise to the company and has served in a variety of executive roles within the industry. Prior to founding Fortress, Falgout held roles in business development and sales, and was the executive vice president for SPL Laboratories for over 29 years.

Falgout is a graduate of Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he received one of the first degrees offered in occupational safety and health. He also studied petroleum technology at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Falgout is an active member of the Society of Professional Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers.

Brady Guilbeaux

Chief Operating Officer

Brady Guilbeaux is the chief operating officer for Fortress Downhole Tools. As COO, Guilbeaux oversees our premier CYCLOPS Setting Tool Recycling Program, and is responsible for ensuring our customer service and operational performance are exceeding the standard of excellence established by Fortress. Guilbeaux combines more than 23 years of experience into his role, having worked in the oil and gas industry as thru tubing product line manager for Energy Fishing and Rental, technical specialist for PetroStar Services, and US technical manager for Extreme Energy Services. He also has been an active leader in design for four awarded patents, along with two pending patents for downhole tools.

Melodie Talley

Chief Financial Officer

Melodie Talley is the chief financial officer for Fortress Downhole Tools. She is responsible for all financial aspects of the company—including financial statements, monthly cash flow statements and month-end reports. Talley holds over 33 years of financial experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked as a finance manager, financial controller and corporate administrator.

Trey Falgout

Vice President of Sales

Trey Falgout serves as the vice president of sales for Fortress Downhole Tools. As a founding partner in Fortress, he is committed to providing customer service at the highest level while extending Fortress’ reach. With 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Falgout has worked in account management and business development for both downhole tool companies as well as pressure pumping.

Joe Montgomery

Vice President of Engineering

Joe Montgomery is the vice president of engineering for Fortress Downhole Tools. While providing excellent customer service, he is the primary point of contact for engineering, design and technical support. Montgomery is also responsible for both field and technical sales support for all Fortress operations. Prior to joining Fortress, Montgomery worked for Baker Hughes and MAP Oil Tools. He also holds patents for Fortress’ CYCLOPS Setting Tool and MAP Oil Tools’ Frac Sleeve technology. Montgomery is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, and Society of Professional Engineers.

Montgomery holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Brittany Tabor

Vice President of Finance

Brittany Tabor is the vice president of finance for Fortress Downhole Tools. Based in Broussard, Tabor has been with the company since inception. She is responsible for accounts receivable/accounts payable and human resources. Tabor carries over 12 years of experience in finance. She previously handled all payroll and accounts payable at Stabiltec Downhole Tools.

Tabor is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in business administration-finance.
